I can never stress enough the importance of fellowship, yes we have the word of god, which is the sword of the spirit.
But we still need those to watch our backs.
In the military we did nothing alone and someone far before my time coined the phrase battle buddies. For us it was a term we threw around jokingly, however we knew that we needed each other.
we ate together, we slept together, and GOD knows, we trained together, we fought together, we laughed together, we cried together, and we knew, for the most part, through thick or thin, we had eachothers backs
Well considering the body of Christ is an army shouldn’t it be the same? That no matter what you can rely on your sheild siblings, and I’m not saying go rush out to every Christian you know and try to establish a brotherhood with them, I relize for most people trusting someone is a whole process. What I am saying though is just please start somewhere. You need to establish a network of prayer warriors, and if you feel uncomfortable asking someone publicly, then by all means ask me, I love praying for people.
7 And He called the twelve to Himself, and began to send them out two bytwo, and gave them power over unclean spirits.
Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him.
And a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
2 Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
