The temple

A few months ago I took a personal inventory during a fast and had realized that I wasn’t taking very good care of my body, much better then I had been in the past, but still eating poorly and not really exercising. That’s when I got convicted, just because tomorrow is not promised doesn’t mean you shouldn’t take care of what you have today. I was convicted also on the fact that our bodies are not even truly ours, they are a temple of the Lord, you if you wouldn’t treat your church like trash why treat your bodies like trash? Its really not that hard to stay healthy, its not that expensive to stay active, i’m not saying you need to get a gym membership, I am not saying you need to run everyday, what I am saying is start somewhere, don’t find the closest spot to park at the store walk a little bit. Maybe eat a banana instead of a cheese burger one time, put down the soda and pick up a water, start somewhere, if the Holy spirit lives within you also, treat him nice, keep his house clean.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20

19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spiritwho is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body[a]and in your spirit, which are God’s.

1 Corinthians 9:27

But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified.

3 John 1:2

Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul.
