Today I heard a lot on forgiveness, and was able to be a witness to a true miracle where strongholds were tore down due to forgiveness, where one man had sinned against another and the unforgiveness went on for so long it began to tear him apart within, so much so that his outward appearance was reflecting it, however when he forgave the man who sinned against him, a enormous weight seemed to lift off of him and he looked at such a peace I have not seen in anyone in a long time. This event led me here, and inspired me to right this. The first thing that I have learned on forgiveness is that in order to truly forgive someone you have to be willing to accept an apology that may never come. The second is that forgiving someone is primarily for the person who is the victim, and finally when you forgive someone although it is ultimately for you, you are setting two people free from bondage.  For unforgiveness only hurts the individual and traps them in bondage, so don’t you think the enemy will try his best to keep that unfogiveness within the individual?

Matthew 6:14-15 NIV

For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

Colossians 3:13 NIV

Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.

Ephesians 4:31-32 NIV

Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
